This variety is a Large Red Cherry - Organic Tomato. It is also known as - Lycopersicon Esculentum.
It is an heirloom variety that has been around for more than 100 years. This variety is especially popular with new growers because the seeds will germinate in 7 - 14 days and it is undoubtedly one of the easiest tomatoes to grow expecting mature fruit at around 72 days.
The mature plant features dark green foliage and yields clusters of Tomatoes 1 - 1 1/2 inch in diameter, which are full of flavour. Typical usage for this variety is fresh eating, salads, also used widely in pickles and preserves.
Seeds can be planted in seed tray using your choice of potting compost as early as February or March. Greenhouse/Conservatory or similar warm location with plenty of light are sensible locations for seed trays. When the plants have 2-3 true leaves, transplant to larger pots or other plant containers and maintain temperature around 18°C. As soon frost risk have past, plants can be gradually introduced to the outside elements.
Not all plants will grow so one strategy is to plant clusters of plants 12 inches apart. There should be a 3" Spacing between plants in the cluster and only the strongest plant in the cluster should remain.
